(The AEGIS Alliance) – MANHATTAN, NEW YORK – A nurse who lives in Queens and recently recovered from coronavirus was assaulted and robbed by a group of thuggish young people while she was walking into work at Bellevue hospital on Wednesday, according to PIX11.com.

Officials said the nurse had just exited the No. 6 train station at about 10:30 p.m. the large group of youths ran up to her and attacked her, and it caused her to fall onto the ground.

60-year-old Martha Toscano said, “I thought they were going to kill me.”

Toscano said the attackers stole her purse after they hit her in the face and on her head.

Police and the nurse described that the group ran off with her purse after three men who witnessed the attack in progress were driving by, yelled at the youths and told them to stop.

The men got out of their vehicle and helped the woman get on her feet and also tried to chase down the violent thieves, but weren’t able to catch them.

However, police said they caught three of the alleged attackers on Thursday and they were arrested. Among those arrested were 19-year-old Deshaun Harrison and two 14 and 15-year-old teen girls.

The NYPD has confirmed that Harrison is being charged with second-degree robbery.

Toscano is terrified and is recovering from the attack at her home, she doesn’t know when she will be able to go back to work.
