‘My husband is a predator’ – LAPD officer accused of sharing explicit images of his wife with other officers

(The AEGIS Alliance) – A cop with the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) is facing a number of criminal charges following the officer allegedly sharing explicit images and video recordings of his wife with his male friends, including other cops he works with, while she had no knowledge or consent of it.

45-year-old Brady Lamas is facing six misdemeanor charges that include disorderly conduct by the distribution of multiple private intimate images without consent, a statement by the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s office indicates.

There aren’t any jail records for Lamas, however, his bail has been evaluated at $20,000, the Los Angeles Times reported. He is set for arraignment on Tuesday at the Santa Clarita office in the Los Angeles Superior Court.

Lamas purportedly shared the pictures between December 29, 2021, and January 24, 2022, in a group conversation on Kik, a texting application. On January 30, his wife uncovered this who is also an LAPD officer, an application to get a restraining order versus Lamas acquired by the LA Times reveals.

The LAPD released a statement that mentioned Lamas has been ordered to his home pending an internal investigation since January 31, 2022, the next day following his spouse apparently discovering that he’d been sharing explicit images of her.

“The Department is fully cooperating with the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department and the District Attorney’s Office with this matter and is troubled by the officer’s alleged off-duty conduct which does not reflect the values of the Los Angeles Police Department,” the LAPD noted.

Lamas’ better half stated her hubby’s “horrible disturbing acts,” consisting of snapping the images in secret and also sharing images as well as video recordings of her, have actually led to harassment at the LAPD workplace.

Male LAPD staff members moved toward Lamas’ spouse, glared at her “intently” and also pointed out things such as “Brady is a lucky man” and also “He doesn’t know how good he has it,” she wrote in a court document.

When the incident was taking place, she just presumed those remarks had been “unusual,” certainly not understanding that these guys had actually viewed explicit images of her, she stated.

“My own husband is a predator and he preyed on me,” she noted. “I would have preferred that he punched me in the face.”

“The conduct alleged in this case can cause lasting emotional distress,” District Attorney Gascón pointed out in a statement from his office. “No one should be subjected to these cruel and invasive actions. As a law enforcement officer who encounters victims each day, he should know the trauma that is caused when someone’s privacy is violated.”
