Drunken man who carried shotgun into Oregon bar tackled then beaten with his own gun by patrons

(The AEGIS Alliance) – In Troutdale, Oregon, a visibly intoxicated man entered the Skyland Pub on Thursday night carrying a shotgun. Two patrons acted quickly to disarm the man, hitting him in the face with the weapon and stopping him in his tracks, according to local FOX 8 News. Additional customers helped to detain the suspect, while some fled the establishment.

The 39-year-old man, who was identified as Arturo Michel-Apolinar, is facing charges of menacing and unlawful use of a weapon.

Michel-Apolinar was the only individual harmed during the incident, and court records reveal that he was released from custody the following day.

The shotgun was recovered at the scene by the Multnomah County Sheriff’s Office, which had responded to the incident. The Multnomah County Sheriff’s Office has not provided additional information.
