Former Utah Police Chief Arrested Three Times, Twice Within Nine Days

(The AEGIS Alliance) – CACHE COUNTY, UTAH – He used to be the chief of the Mantua Police Department, and has now been arrested twice within the last couple of weeks, and three times in total. He is facing prescription drug charges and is suspected of driving under the influence, according to Fox13Now.com.

50-year-old Shane Zilles was placed under arrest on Friday, February 14, Valentine’s Day, and faces five counts of possessing a forged or altered prescription, Fox13Now.com cited the Cache County Sheriff’s Office as saying. No additional details were made public about the arrest at that time.

Not long before that, Zilles was arrested on Thursday, February 6 after being suspected of driving under the influence and also driving on a revoked or suspended license, Fox13Now.com reports.

Zilles resigned from his position as police chief last year after pleading guilty to an impaired driving charge, Fox13Now.com previously reported. Shane Zilles’s guilty plea was the result of his arrest in January 2019 for driving while under the influence of Benadryl and Ambien.
