A mother’s boyfriend allegedly sexually assaults 12-year-old, fatally shoots 3 teens and himself

(The AEGIS Alliance) – In what is believed to be a murder-suicide in Galena Park, Texas, three teenage girls, one of whom was pregnant, were killed after a 38-year-old man allegedly sexually assaulted a 12-year-old girl.

The incident occurred on the evening of February 18th, in a residence located on the 2000 block of 2nd Street, the Galena Park Police Department posted on Facebook. When officers arrived at the scene, they found four people dead from gunshot wounds.

The Harris County Sheriff’s Office Homicide Division took over the investigation and has classified the case as “the possible murder of three and a suicide.” Harris County Sheriff Ed Gonzalez revealed that a 12-year-old girl reported that her mother’s boyfriend had sexually assaulted her before shooting multiple people in the house. The 12-year-old girl escaped the residence with her one-year-old niece and sought help from a neighbor.

According to KHOU-TV, the victims were three females, aged 19, 14, and 13, and a 38-year-old male who died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound. The victim’s mother was not present at the time of the shooting. The 19-year-old victim, Sayuri Gill, was six months pregnant. The suspect was the boyfriend of the 19-year-old victim’s mother and the father of her unborn child. Melany Torres, aged 13, and Laisha Perez, a 14-year-old family friend, were also killed, KPRC-TV reported.

The 12-year-old girl and her one-year-old niece were taken to a hospital for non-life-threatening injuries.
