Three shot as family fought over gifts at a Pennsylvania baby shower that erupted into gunfire

(The AEGIS Alliance) – Three individuals in Pennsylvania got shot by gunfire on Saturday in the course of a baby shower following a fight over gifts, according to local police.

Cops in Lower Burrell, a small city that’s about a half an hour drive northeast of Pittsburgh, were called in on an active shooter report and arrived at the Kinloch Fire Department on Saturday shortly after 6 p.m.

Police found it was actually “not an active shooter situation but rather an isolated family incident during a baby shower,” according to a Facebook post by the Lower Burrell Police Department.

The male suspect was arrested after firing gunshots at an age 23 man, an age 19 woman, as well as an age 16 teen boy. All 3 victims were transported to a nearby medical center to receive treatment for their gunshot injuries, their current health condition is not known at this time.

Police said a family argument happened at the baby shower over gifts that became physical prior to the male suspect pulling out a semi-automatic handgun and firing gunshots.

The male suspect that is scheduled to be arraigned this coming week, has not yet been identified. As of Saturday night, he remained locked up behind bars in a city jail.
