Missouri couple charged with killing 4-year-old girl, torturing her mother and 2-year-old brother

(The AEGIS Alliance) – Two culprits have been apprehended in Missouri following the alleged murder and torture of members of one family. According to the Benton County Sheriff’s department, Kourtney Aumen and Ethan Mast were arrested with multiple felony charges regarding the incident that involved the death of a 4-year-old child and her mother’s injuries and brother. The police also stated that the girl’s mother and 2-year old brother were tortured after she was murdered.

The incident came to light at approximately 1 am on Sunday morning after a 911 call was placed. Investigators who responded to the call discovered the girl’s dead body, which was in her room, and the battered bodies of the rest of her family. Her whole body had been beaten. And her father also reported that she had also been submerged in a pond and left at the bank for some time before being taken back inside, KY3 reported.

The county Sheriff’s statement said the girl and the entire family had suffered extensive trauma before she died. Although her 28-year-old mother and younger brother also suffered severe injuries, they were taken to a local hospital where they are recuperating.

There have been reports indicating that the culprits arrested for the crime had been beating the family over two weeks. They claimed their actions were because demons possessed the mother of that family. Other than the beatings with a wooden and a belt is allegedly done by one of the perpetrators. They also claimed that they forced the young girl to perform sexual acts on the mother using foreign objects, according to Ozarks First.

The suspected perpetrators were charged with sexual assault, several counts of first-degree assault, and second-degree murder. They were denied bond and are currently in police custody. It is also unclear if one of the suspects -Ethan Mast- is related to the victim’s family given their similar last names.
