Justin Neisler pleaded guilty in January to producing child pornography following his March 2019 arrest.
Jason Dunn, Colorado U.S. Attorney gave a statement and said “This sentence is wholly appropriate in light of the horrific acts committed by the one person besides a parent that a child is told to trust unquestionably.”
“Our hope is that the sentence gives his victims and their parents some sense of closure and allows them to move forward with their lives.”
Federal authorities had launched an investigation in October 2018, after receiving a tip from the social media platform Tumblr. Tumblr reported Neisler to law enforcement for posting child porn videos repeatedly on his Tumblr account between the dates of October 15 and December 13 in 2018.
In the plea agreement, it says the disgraced doctor who was 31-years-old at the time and is now 33, also “re-blogged” the explicit content to allow other users to see it.
Dunn said that Neisler had often been using his iPhone and a Spy Pen Camera to make video recordings of his patients without their knowledge while they were naked with no clothes for “sexual gratification.”
The disgraced doctor’s home was turned and authorities found child porn on his phone and other devices. A later forensic analysis discovered Justin Neisler had collected around 1,725 explicit videos and 6,600 explicit still images of underage children online. Justin Neisler will now spend the next 23 years behind bars.
