Georgia Man Sentenced to 40 Years in Prison for Child Porn ‘Sextortion’ of 150 Girls
(The AEGIS Alliance) – COBB COUNTY, GEORGIA – On Tuesday, a Georgia man convicted of distributing and producing child pornography a case involving “sextortion” was handed down 40 years in prison. Age 25 Benjamin Jenkins coerced at least 150 underage girl victims, a press release by the U.S. Attorney’s Office reveals.
Jenkins started changing his identity and social media profiles in 2015 in order to contact underage girls between ages 13 and 16 so he could convince them to send explicit photos. Jenkins would then use “sextortion” tactics against the young girls who sent him photos making threats to post their photos publicly online, or send the images to their family and friends if they refused to send him more video and pictures that were of a sexual nature. Jenkins used a “countdown clock” against girls who refused to comply with his demands as a way to make them fearful.
Jenkins gave orders to the girls and told them what poses to make and which specific body parts they needed to show. He also told the girls “what objects to insert into their genitals and anus,” the U.S. Attorney’s Office said.
Jenkins had also been forcing the girls into sending him videos of them licking toilets or drinking their own urine and forced “many of his victims” into watching him masturbate.
Jenkins was convicted by a federal judge in January on three counts of distributing child pornography and nine counts of producing child porn.
Parents and friends of the girls did receive explicit images from Jenkins, he also posted nude photos and contact information of the victims online that included “messages for men to contact the girls directly for more photos or for sex.”
Benjamin Jenkins from Mableton, Georgia and will spend the next 40 years in prison which will be followed by supervised release for the rest of his life. Jenkins must also register as a sex offender when he’s released.
