Louisiana Judge Found Guilty of Sex Crimes Against Teen Girls
(The AEGIS Alliance) – LOUISIANA – A judge in Louisiana who’s up for re-election this year has been found guilty of child sex crimes against teen girls as young as 14-years-old who were friends with his teen daughters.
Judge Jeff Perilloux, a St. John Parish Judge has now been convicted of three felony counts that include indecent behavior with a minor and an additional fourth count of misdemeanor sexual battery after accusations from prosecutors that he groomed the teenage girls. Perilloux was found guilty this past weekend on Saturday.
A 15-year-old girl was one of the victims, she identified herself as the best friend of one of Perilloux’s daughter. She accused the 53-year-old judge in May and June 2017 of giving her back massages, NOLA.com reported. Perilloux also groped her breasts for 15 to 20 seconds during one of the sexual assaults.
Perilloux was also accused of placing his hands into the bottom piece of her swimsuit in Florida during a family vacation.
A 14-year-old teen girl accused Perilloux of using force to rub sunscreen on her. The teenager told authorities he attempted to shove a water hose into her shorts. In her testimony, she said that she doesn’t remember if he touched her shorts or not.
A third woman who was 17 at the time, testified against Perilloux and said that while she was wearing only underwear, Perilloux applied Vick’s VapoRub onto her breasts.
“Yes, he’s a judge. Yes, he’s got a fancy job. He is a wolf in sheep’s clothing, hiding in plain sight before you. The truth is that this is a groomer,” NOLA.com reports Assistant Attorney General Matthew Derbes as saying.
Defense attorney Jim Williams made accusations that the victims had changed their stories and he questioned why prosecutors didn’t call in Perilloux’s daughters to testify in court.
Jeff Perilloux is scheduled to be sentenced on October 15, the same court he was sworn in at found him guilty. He denies all charges.
