5 Arrested in Child Predator Sting “Operation Home Alone 2” Including Ex-Detective

(The AEGIS Alliance) – ARIZONA Authorities arrested five men suspected of being child predators during a monthlong crackdown on sex trafficking called “Operation Home Alone 2,” according to an announcement by officials on Wednesday.

A former detective was one of the suspects who were arrested in the group that is accused of attempting to engage in sexual activity with underage victims by luring them.

The Arizona Department of Public Safety said the group of suspects was arrested between August 26 and September 3 in Maricopa and Pina counties. The department led the investigation and was assisted by federal and local agencies.

Of those arrested, one has been identified as Christopher Butts, age 44, a resident of Phoenix who used to be employed by the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office as a detective.

Last week, Butts was charged with aggravated luring of a minor with the intention of sexual exploitation and providing harmful items to a minor. Butts was busted while he was out on bond for an arrest in February on the same charges, officials said.

The others arrested have been identified as 40-year-old Daniel May, 38-year-old Matthew Salley, 36-year-old Ryan Kellerman, and 26-year-old Jordan Holloway. They have each been charged with luring a minor with the intention of sexual exploitation.

Kellerman is also facing charges of providing harmful items to a minor. He is also a suspect in an unrelated case in Maricopa city on child pornography charges, according to officials.

Additional arrests are expected in Operation “Home Alone” which is an ongoing investigation.
