ENID, OKLAHOMA – Oklahoma City authorities are asking the public to help find a man who is a fugitive on the run and is wanted for a horrifying crime against a child.
The Enid Police Department with the help of the U.S. Marshals is on a search to locate 22-year-old Brice Gage Watkins who is accused of sexual assault against a 6-month-old baby. Investigators say Watkins allegedly assaulted the infant, filmed it, and then distributed the video on social media.
Watkins is wanted currently on a child pornography distribution charge.
According to The Enid News & Eagle, the Norman Police Department filed a police report on August 11 when a woman told them she received a video that showed Watkins molesting a young child.
An affidavit describes an Enid police officer contacting one of Watkins’ friends who viewed the disgusting video file on August 12 and saw Watkins doing things to the child that were highly inappropriate. The Enid officer saw the video and noticed a message above the video that said “whose child is this.” In the video, there was a screen recording of a camera roll in a phone that allegedly showed Watkins’ molestation of the child.
Watkins was charged in Garfield County District Court on August 14. On Tuesday the U.S. Marshals Service joined in the search, the Enid News & Eagle reported.
Officials said they believe Watkins could be in the area of Oklahoma City and has ties to Enid and Norman. There is a potential $1,000 reward via CrimeStoppers.
