Off-Duty NYPD Detective Arrested for Assaulting Wife in Their Queens Home
(The AEGIS Alliance) – QUEENS, NEW YORK – A detective with the NYPD who was off-duty has been arrested for assaulting his wife in their home in Queens on Friday, according to police and NYDailyNews.com.
32-year-old Aliskender Raj was placed under arrest by officers at about 1:45 p.m at his residence in Jamaica, Queens, New York. Raj is facing charges of criminal mischief and domestic assault.
According to police, detective Raj was in an argument with his wife and then he kicked her and smashed her smartphone.
The woman was given medical treatment at the home for a minor leg injury.
The NYPD suspended Aliskender Raj until further investigation is completed, officials said.
