A joint investigation led to the Friday arrest of a 36-year-old Lonaconing man by the name of Cole Derek Green. The investigation that started on November 12 was carried out by the Allegany County Board of Education and Child Protective Services.

At that time, Mr. Green was ordered by the Board of Education to be placed on administrative leave.

Investigators discovered that an adult witness, on two different occasions, saw Green put his hands underneath the clothes of two different female kindergarten students and touched them in a sexual manner.

On Friday, there was a hearing before a district court commissioner, and soon afterward Mr. Green was arrested and locked up in jail without bond.
