Police Called on 12-Year-Old for Mowing Lawn – Good Ending

(The AEGIS Alliance) – A 12-year-old boy who lives in Ohio was mowing a homeowner woman’s lawn when a neighbor decided to call the police on the boy for mowing part of her yard on accident.

Mr. Reggie’s Lawn Cutting Service is owned by Reginald Fields, who was mowing the lawn of Lucille Holt with his friends on Saturday, June 23rd, 2018, when the cops arrived after responding to a call.

“You have young people out here doing something positive and to get the police called on them was ridiculous,” Fields said. “Who does that?”

The neighbor reportedly was upset because the boys mowed part of the grass located between Holt’s and her lawn, but according to Holt, there is no fence that separates the two properties.

Reggie was unaware he had mowed a patch of the neighbor’s grass when the police showed up.

In what is now a viral video recorded by Holt, a couple neighbors are seen sweeping debris off their driveway. Holt states that her neighbors “call the police for everything,” and this is not the first time it’s happened.

“This is RIDICULOUS!!!” I was very angry,”Fields stated.“Who calls the police on children?”

However, this negative experience has turned into a positive for Reggie. The viral video has helped out his business. He has received a brand new lawn mower and also a leaf blower from members of the community, along with several additional customers.

GoFundMe has been set up for his business, and it has already raised over $23,000 at this time.

“He has had so many tools donated to him. He’s had an outpouring of love,” Holt said of Reggie. “To see young people working is a foundation to be a successful entrepreneur as an adult.”

It has become more apparent over the last year that people calling the police for very small reasons has gotten out of control. There are far more important reasons to call the police, rather than for any uncalled for and minor reason. There are rapists and murderers in this world; and these no need police callers shouldn’t be wasting law enforcement’s time.
