Texas man charged for mid-flight sexual assault on teenage girl

(The AEGIS Alliance) – An airplane traveler has been implicated in groping a teen girl repeatedly that had been sitting in the seat in front of him during the course of an airplane trip recently that traveled from Texas to Montana.

The affirmed creeper, who has been identified as Vincent Kopacek, age 76, had a hearing in a federal courtroom on Monday following him facing charges of attempted sexual abuse of an underage victim, abusive sex-related contact as well as assault during maritime and areal jurisdiction.

Prosecutors pointed out he had sat in the plane right behind the age 15 victim, that was sitting in a window seat when he reached his hand through the side of her seat on the airplane and then “touched the girl’s body.” The teenager recorded the purported assault using her smartphone, officials stated.

The incident occurred last Thursday on a flight traveling from Austin, Texas to a city in Montana called Bozeman.

The victim stated the guy started touching her prior to the aircraft even taking flight and also carried on up until it landed around 3 hours afterward, prosecutors said. The teen reported the abuse to her family members after she left Bozeman Yellowstone International Airport and her family members at that point got in touch with police.

The FBI took control of the case and jailed the implicated creeper while he had checked in for his return trip to Texas on Sunday.

If found guilty, Vincent Kopacek is facing up to 15 years behind bars, a $250,000 fine as well as 5 years of monitored release.
