Convicted felon arrested after allegedly shooting 12 puppies to death in Kentucky

(The AEGIS Alliance) – An age 27 male suspect was apprehended and is facing charges for the alleged shooting deaths of a dozen puppies.

On January 27th, the owner of the dogs observed a substantial amount of blood in a detached building on their property located on Dry Ridge Road in Eastview, Kentucky. They immediately notified the Kentucky State Police, according to a report from WHAS-TV.

According to eyewitnesses who spoke to the police, Tristan Hollin had handled the dogs earlier in the day and allegedly proclaimed to have a firearm.

WAVE-TV reported that law enforcement executed a search warrant on the property and located Hollin in a bedroom, where he was placed under arrest.

During their search of the outbuilding, officers reportedly discovered the bodies of three puppies inside a plastic container and a heap of soil.

Eventually, Hollin confessed to shooting the puppies to death and stated that he had buried them close to where the three dead puppies were discovered, according to a report from WHAS.

After committing the murders, Hollin is said to have handed over the firearm he used to his uncle who resided next door.

Hollin was taken into custody and booked into the Hardin County Detention Center on charges of firearm possession by a convicted felon, altering physical evidence, animal cruelty, and violating probation, as per the Hardin County Detention Center. He is slated to make an appearance in court on February 3rd.

Previous records indicate that in 2019, Hollin had been convicted of third-degree burglary, unauthorized vehicle use, and criminal mischief. Additionally, in 2018, he was found guilty of receiving stolen property.
